I NEED HELP! Wheels, Tires, Leveling
So I'm new to the forum and to owning an F150. Just picked up an '04 F150 SuperCrew Lariat 4x4. It's a great truck, just in serious need of wheels and tires. I bought a set of BF Goodrich 305/65/18 and ordered a 2" leveling kit from Hellbent Steel.
So considering that setup, I'm looking at a new set of black wheels from a company called 2 Crave (NX-1). The wheels are 18x9 with a +12 offset (they also make a -12 offset). I know very little about aftermarket wheels and want to know how they will fit on the truck before I drop a grand. I'm concerned about the wheels sticking out too far.
It is my understanding that the stock 18's that are on the truck are 7 1/2 wide with a +44 offset. Is it as simple as dividing the additional 1 1/2 of wheel width by 2 and adding the additional offset (44-12=32mm difference)? So that gives me 1.25" plus .75" which totals 2". So are the new wheels going to stick out 2" further than the current 18's? or am I totally out of wack with these calculations?
Also, with the 305/65/18 BFG's and the 2" leveling kit am I going to have rubbing issues?
Help me out guys! Thanks!
