Default I need help

I recently purchased an 04 crewcab F150, and my seatbelt light wont shut up..it keeps "bing bing bing" and it will stop for a minute and start again. Needless to say, its very frustrating and sometimes makes me contemplate driving off a bridge. One person told me it could be a loose connection with the female wire, but when i put on my seatbelt it doesnt change it; however, i heard you can program it to not go off..i dont have the owners manual, but is this true? and if so, someone please save me from insanity. Thanks for any help in advance..and bring on the noob jokes (since this is my first post)

To shut off the warning put the key in the ignition turn it to on but don't start the engine. When the seatbelt light goes off (approx 1 minute) buckle and unbuckle the seatbelt 9 times ending unbuckled. No need to go really fast you have 50 seconds to do this after the seatbelt light turns off. The airbag light in the instrument cluster (not above the radio) will flash 4 or 5 times you then have 10 seconds to buckle and unbuckle the seatbelt one time ending unbuckled. The system should now be dissarmed. You must not be seated in the seat and you have to do this individually for both front seats.

Oh and welcome to the show!!

Welcome to the site Mee

This is how I did it on mine. btw, it tells you this in the owner's manual. I was sitting in my seat when I did it too.

The parking brake is set.
The truck/car is in Park (automatic), Neutral (manual).
The ignition is OFF.
All doors are closed.
The driver's safety belt is un-buckled.
The parking and headlights are OFF.
Then follow these 9 steps:

Turn the ignition switch to ON, but DO NOT START.
Wait for the safety belt warning light to go OFF(1-2 minutes).
Steps 3-5 MUST be completed within 50 seconds!
buckle and unbuckle 9 times light thn flashes quickly and within 7 secs buckle unbuckle one more time.
you gotta do that for each side

Find the fuse and pull it out. Isn't it labeled inside the fuse cluster?
