I need advice
I think I have a big problem. I after reading and getting the required items to change out the plugs on my 2004 F150 decided to venture the project. I had 7 of 8 plugs that came out with no problem. The 8th plug was a different story. I am like ok I will just use my tool ordered in case this happens and remove th rest of the plug. I could not get it to do what was needed to get the remainder out. I gave up and said I would pay a shop to do it since I obviously did not know what I was doing. I take my truck to the shop and drop it off. i get a call about 3 hours later saying they could not get the plug out. They said to take to ford as they may have a tool different from theirs. When I went to pick up the truck I was talking to them and they said something was blocking their tool from getting the plug out. Does anyone have a thought or suggestion on what to look at. By the way the one that broke off was on the passenger side in the very back behind the computer module and everything else. I am hoping for a suggestion that might help before I take it to ford and they tell me they can't get it out and I have to have the head removed to get the plug out. I just can't see $1400+ for a single plug change. I am hoping there might be a grabber that could grab what was blocking the plug from coming out. thanks for any help in advance.

Have you read the sticky at the top of this forum? I'm guessing you're familiar with the Lisle tool for extracting the broken piece.
The PCM module is easily removed to allow better access to that back plug. Just leave the wiring connectors on and remove the holding bolts to move it aside if it's in the way.
try the search as well. Many have done this on their own with good success.
