Yeah, some Chevy (go figure) thought itd be cute to crash into me. His front end caved in. I have scratches.....

Looks like he was just pulling a u turn. Had similar damaged happen to me.
As tough as the truck is it wasn't that cheap to repair. One of the bumper mounts where bent, and the entire side of the bed needed to be repainted. Body shop quoted 4.5k, lol.
Looks like the mounts in your case should be fine, but I would still make sure they didn't bend since the hitch is attached to the same assembly. Bumper may need to be replaced ($350 OEM), otherwise just bondo and paint.

Military Police (yep, really. the most useless people on earth) deemed us both at fault because I was backing in to parallel park behind him and he was pulling out for a U-turn.
Im fine. Just sad ill be losing my truck for a few days..

Thank you for your support. He actually was local of Washington. But Im local to Southern California so it's a bit of an upgrade so far.
That's exactly what happened. Just a U-turn. I don't think my bumper mount was bent. My whole bumper looks straight except that little silver bracket hanging out. May end up getting a new bumper though. It's getting appraised tomorrow or Wednesday. $4.5k is a bit outrageous. I just need that small bit repainted (but they'll probably do that whole bed panel) and then a few other pieces of BS here and there. It shouldn't be that expensive honestly..
