So i own a 2004 f150 fx4 screw. Went camping camping last week in Rocky Mountain House, 3 hours from my house. Truck broke down due to the cam shaft timing, over-retarded in bank 2. I assume thats my cam phasers telling me they have had enough. The shop had to keep the truck for the week, since the next opening was thursday. (dropped it off on sunday) Does anyone know what bill im about to get. i assume $3000 bucks, in that neck of the woods. Anyone have any inconvinient truck stories? I'd like to hear! It might make me feel better

After talking to the mechanic he said there is a "cam phaser repair kit" which goes beyong replacing only the phasers. they will change the timing chains, gaskets, seals. and whatever else is down there. so maybe that is why i was quoted for that much?
