Unhappy I have engine problems in the rain. Any suggestions?

I have an 04 f150, when ever it rains i put the truck in gear and it seems to studder. Even when i get into 4th gear it still seems to bog out. The service engine light came on acouple times so i took it to the shop, they said nothing was wrong with it.

Can any one help?

Check the plug wells to ensure there is no water in there.

You mean the spark plug? It runs fine when its nice out but as soon as it rains it seems to hesitate.

Check your air filter next time you experience this problem and see if its getting wet.

Sounds like moisture is getting into an electrical connection and giving you problems. On a dry night, when the truck runs good, take a spray bottle full of water and start spraying your electrical connections. Start with the spark plug caps. Sometimes you can see a spark arc if it is dark enough. Spray different components until the truck runs bad.

what engine..... like others said... check plug wires and plugs.. if there pretty old i would change them.. my 02 did this.. and it was my plug wires...
