If your good with a wrench, start locating good used parts from the local boneyards, then install them and pay a body shop to do the paintwork, unless you have friends in those places that can save you some dough in that catagory too.
I have a $500 deductible, I looked at the local pull apart and all the trucks they had were wrecked in the front with the bumpers being messed up

thats always the case....most vehicles that are totaled are front hits...and the front bumper is the first thing to arrive at the scene of the accident

Same thing happened to me.

I went and bougt a new bracket for the bumper and a new chrome bumper with foglight holes for about 200 brand new and had the guys at the shop install it and heat the valence and re shape it for 100 bucks.

That's not too bad, the parts department at the dealership quoted me $634.00 unpainted and uninstalled for a primed replacement bumper with foglight holes and that was with my 15% employee discount!!! Crying shame they would do that to an ex employee/ customer who's mom and dad has bought 9 vehicles from them since 2006!!!! My dad was pissed considering we are both ex employees at the dealership!!!

You can pick up a bumper cheap and new on ebay... Same as the bumper pad....

Also looka t autobodyfit.com ..... You can replace these parts on your own very easily... I've rebuilt my front end 4 or 5 times.

You can also switch to the 06-08 front bumper with the round fog lights very eaisly

I just sprayed my bumpers with bed liner and got the cheap black plastic upper valence.

A little tip on removing the bumper and putting it back on.... Remove the mounts from the frame of the truck... Don't remove the bumper from the mounts... Swap the old mounts to the new bumper ... and then mount the bumper to the truck.

If you didn't mind that little scuff... You could sand that bumper and valance down and plastic dip... or bed line. And pocket the money.... Or not turn it in.

How much was that bumper?! Hate the 04-05 rectangular fog lights.
