Default HVAC blower setting problem

Hey guys, new to the f150 forum crew. I have an 04 fx4 with the manual ac controls. When I originally purchase it used about 3 months ago, the #1 setting for the blower didn't work, and it wasn't an issue for me. But about a week ago, the #2 setting quit working. What is the problem? Am I burning resistors? or is the selector switch bad? Please help!!!

If its anything like my old 02 explorer, there is a resistor / relay mounted near the blower that is common problem and will cause that issue. It cost $20 or less at local parts store. It was mounted to the firewall behind the glovebox with 2 small hex screws and had a flat 4 pin conector.

its a common problem, check the resistor, it should be mounted to the actual blower motor casing, they go out all the time at work
