Before I regeared the truck it down shifted all the time and really had to rev going up hill and I hated that. My average mpg from my recent trip to Houston, Tx was 15.5 mpg which Ill take all day
THIS - 4.10 gears and a tune will solve your issues.

You will need the tune to correct your speedometer, and if you use somebody like 5STAR he will fix your shift points and keep the engine in the torque range.

After looking at how much it'd cost to re-gear & get a tuner I've decided to leave everything as is. It's not worth the money b/c I won't be towing anywhere near the 6200 miles I did in Sept/Oct. My trailer is stored in Mesa, I'll pick it up before Thanksgiving & head to the desert in AZ & CA for a few months. I managed to put off Jury Duty until May 2019 so I'll bring the trailer home & store it locally or sell it. My HOA won't allow me to have it in the driveway for more than 2 days unless it's fenced, which it isn't.

I really do appreciate all of the suggestions.

Exactly! I have a 5STAR custom 87 octane tune as well.
