Then you should fit. I have the Stage1 kit for a 05' 4x4 that was originally designed for the 2" oem block plus the 2.5" procomp block. I switched out to the 5" Fabtech block and still had plenty of travel for it.

i am wondering if the 4x4 rear shocks are different from the 2wd rear shocks...because when i installed the lift i remember it not having more then 3in travel from what i remember i might be wrong...i think larry is checking for me online if mine and the 4x4 is the same or not....but honestly do you think there will be much difference from the 3in block and the 5in block?

Mine are the MX6 009

yours are the MX6 079 ?????

in the spec list it shows the 079 also goes with a 4x4 with a 0 -1" lift

You'd really have to look at the kit differences. It could be that procomp designed the 2wd drive kit with a shorter shock given that the 4wd's include a factory 2" block that the 2wd's don't. I'd just call procomp and ask tech support.

Exactly right!
It appears from the shock listing and the part # on my shocks ... there is a difference. I know that the 2" block which is stock explains the length difference.
the best way to get the right info is to call Pro Comp.
It would be good to find out if the MX6 009 are even the right ones. Mine work but there is always a better shock somewhere for the right price.

At this point. If you need to spend money on rear shocks. Get your specs call the different shock suppliers and investigate.

How about king racing shocks or Fox. Are the pro Comp with reservoir a fox shock. because pro comp offers a 3 year wty

So get your measurments and get the right length or have them custom made. Include what height you are going to set your truck. adjust your front to get the height change. then add the 5" Blocks or springs. if your truck is level or as you want it then buy your shocks. I have found with some ahops when I ask for specifics on the shocks they just say "oh yes they will work" I answer with what does that mean??? they have plenty of movemnet either direction? I then ask to tak to someone else. Like some one who can give me real measurements.

but i was thinking about doing the rear fox shocks with the resorvoir, how much would those cost me?

quick question: does the 2wd and 4wd back shocks have the same mounts like the same way it bolts on just different height or what?
