Default How many miles to reset battery?

Failed my emissions test today due to battery run failure, the tech advised that if your battery goes dead or disconnected it'll trip that and will need to reset. I took off my Edge probably 15 mins before my test, so I assume when it wrote my stock PCM settings back on the truck it tripped that. Just to be safe I tested the battery and it's good, so how many miles do I need to drive to have it "reset" so I can re-test. I've driven about 25 so far and OLE BOY do I miss the Edge. Thanks guys!

Edge's instructions advised not to, you could lose your stock PCM and never be able to return it to stock with your Edge.

I don't think its in terms of mileage, I believe its in heating cycles, how many times the engine has heated from ambient temp, or close to it, to its normal operating temp. So just hoping in driving 'X' amount of miles only counts as 1 cycle regardless of the actual distance.

You need to either drive for a couple hundred miles or do an OBD II drive cycle.

It depends on the manufacturer, but it should be less than 200 miles, it also takes a certain amount of ignition starts, driving under different conditions, running the evap cycle, etc.

a 75 dollar scan tool will tell you what has been reset and what is pending when you look at the readiness test.

Just to reply, I did the steps above and drove about 90 miles. Passed with no issues!
