My 04 FX4 has original engine, a 2005 trans and full timing done around 220,000km. Sitting at close to 461,000kms now and aside from possible exhaust leak she's still doing cross country trips without issues. Just test drove a 2014 FX4 today and my 04 is a MUCH more comfortable ride all around.

I agree the 2004 - 2008 1-50's have something about them which makes them one you want to come back to. my brother has a '14 with the 3.5 eco, man that thing is a power house but for some reason my old trusty 5.4 gets me to my destination just fine yet...also, I would tend to think the 09-14 years are a bit clumsy-feeling. just interesting someone else mentioned something down this line, (wpg f-150)
also, tech rep, where's the thread for the mileage? I want current info, I believe there was a thread several years ago on this, understanding several years can make a difference in mileage increases. correct me if im wrong or direct me to the current thread, also how many miles does your 08 have?
