You mass air flow sensor is located in your air intake duct...remove it... normally 2 screws and clean it with some MAF cleaner you can buy at any automotive store. let completely dry re-install. Disconnect your batt during this and re-connect when finished, this will clear your code..

Why can't you remove it? I just did mine in a few seconds. It's just 2 star bolts and it slides right out

It's the connector right in the center of picture. If you got the 5.4. Not sure on 4.6

Mine came out very easily but my MAF was pretty dirty. In having a little hesitation/sputtering at WOT and am just doing some maintenance. I'm also doing plugs and coils and just put in a new k&n air filter

I had to clean the MAF sensor in my 4.2 V6. I have the cannister type air cleaner, with the MAF sensor in the engine side of the cannister. All I needed to do was disconnect the cannister, and the MAF sensor was in plain view inside the cannister. I just cleaned it from there, and put the cannister back together.
