How do you remove the fake vent?

Hi all, I have a 2wd 2007 and I want to remove the fake vent where the 4x4 switch goes. I want to put my KC light switch there. I would think it just pops out, but I don't want to brake it.

My 4x4 switch pops out. You can remove the plastic surround of the radio and push it out from behind. Less chance of breaking it.

Its called a change holder, and it just pops out with very little pressure. Don't worry, it won't break. I put my trans temp gauge there.

Yep, pops right out, but there is a plug connected to 2 wires hooked to it, so be careful. Pretty sure its just there incase your truck was going to be a 4x4. Its a black and a blue wire IIRC.
