My ignition key chime sounds often while driving. I found a few related threads from years ago. Unfortunately none worked in my 2004 F150 XLT ext cab 4.6L. To kill the ignition key chime I cannot clip the black/pink wire from connector on left side of steering column because this color wire does not exist in my truck.. Neither does the "half-moon" shaped sensor in key cylinder exist. Before I put my fist through the dashboard does anyone know which is the correct wire to clip in a 2004 truck? on what connector? or what to cover up in key cylinder? or must I disassemble dashboard gauge panel to get to the chime itself? Thanks.
