Removed the air intake, removed vacuum hoses and popped off the fuel rail. I was able to reach back there with no problems. I have normal size hands and I did not have any trouble. I wanted to put one of the hose clamps with the key but I had already attached the hose and could not get it back off. Only other problem I had was one of my injectors came off the rail and I did not see the o ring come off. When I did my road test it was leaking fuel. Luckily I found the o ring and it is running great now.

Connect in 5min

My son who has hands like a piano player. Not very big and longish fingers. Came out yesterday to watch me laying on top of the engine, on a piece of rug of coarse, trying to get my hand down the back of the engine to reconnect the passenger side vac line. I had my notebook there hooked to a inspection camera so I could see the line hanging in front of the port. Just couldn’t reach it. Sigh!!!
He told me to get off the engine, climbed up laid down put his left hand down the back and felt the hose and with those longish fingers pushed the line on. Then he put on a glove for thickness so he could push a bit harder. Got off the truck smiled and went back inside. Me trying for a hour and a half and him succeeding I’m five minutes. Didn’t even look at the notebook. So find someone with not too big hands and longish fingers. 👍

I have the same issue but I'm not sure if I'm supposed to have a Hose on the backside of the intake manifold on the passenger side. Take a look at my video, let me know if you have experienced this on a 2008 4x4. Engine runs rough at idle. No check engine. Diagnostics look good, no lean.
