How to change hub bearing

Default How to change hub bearing

I think I have a front hub bearing goin out an wondering what is the easiest way to change it on a 2007 f150 4x4 with the 5.4L in it

It is a simple change out. Remove the wheel and the caliper and rotor. It is held in by bolts on the back side and has a wire running off it for the ABS.

Remove the outer CV axle nut (36mm I believe), and make the axle ready to remove. Remove the back bolts and unclip the wiring to the sensor. Remove the bearing/hub assembly and replace with your new one. Reinstall everything as it was taken off and you should be golden.

Does anyone have a break down of the front hub assembly I am a diesel mechanic at the farm so I'm mechanically inclined just never had one of these apart before.

is it a 2wd or 4x4 makes a big difference and if it is 4x4 buy them wheel bearing assemblies online can get them for like 100$ a piece rather than 300$
