hook up tow question
sometimes i see f150's with a hook in the front so they can he towed out if they get stuck...well in the front of my truck i dont have one...whats the names or the hooks or what can i do to get something like that because last time when ogterror got stuck we hooked it up to my cross member...not such a great idea but thats the only place i had to get it onto
Is it possible he is referring to the hooks that are put on vehicles when they are transported new (for securing to the transport truck). Usually there is like one on the front and one in the rear?
I would think that no matter if you have the 4x4 or the 2x4 the frame would have the holes drilled into them to install the tow hooks. Isn't that kind of how they do it on the assembly line to save money? Just drill the holes on all the trucks but only install the tow hooks onto the trucks with 4x4. Maybe I'm wrong, but I would think if they all come from the same plant then all trucks would have the holes. But maybe the 2-wheel drive models only come from one certain plant.
