Default hood release question help!!

2007 supercrew,
anyway to release my hood from outside the truck? I just locked the keys in the car with the lights on now I have a dead battery. I pryed the window out and hit the onlock button with a coat hanger but my flippin battery is dead. Help (atleast Im at home) I was gonna try to get the hood open to charge the battery enough to unlock the door.

I was going to say check the manual, but I realized it's in your truck

If you can't shut the lights off then charging the battery will be tough. You could crawl under the hood and pull back on the latch that runs to the cab.
I would sign up for AAA and have them try. You don't want to damage your truck...
If you had power locks, prying on the door at the roof line by the B pillar could allow you to hit the unlock button.. You need to gently slide a wedge in at the top, then get a stick and hit the unlock button... Slim Jim's will not work on these vehicles as far as I know. But I'm not positive on that... Good luck!

I'll post a pic later on how to release the hood. There are two cables on the hood latch behind the grill. The top left operates the lever when you raise the hood and the bottom right is the "popper". There's a u shaped "plate" with a spring on the left and the "popper" cable runs thru it. I pushed that "plate" towards the drivers side and it released. Hood opened
