Default Hood Deflector Options

I have to get the ugly OEM chrome short hood deflector off the truck because the outside tabs are broken and I'm afraid the thing is going to fly off on the interstate. Unfortunately, I can't just leave it off because it has wrecked the paint on the leading edge of the hood from what I can tell (deep scratches). So, it looks like I need to find a replacement deflector. I'm kind of locked into smoke because the chrome is hideous and I doubt I can color match the Smokestone because of the color shift.

The window deflectors are smoke AVS's so I'd like to go with either AVS or Ford Genuine Accessories. From what I've seen my options are:

1. Ford Genuine Smoke Low Profile
2. Ford Genuine Smoke High Profile (can't find a pic of this)
3. AVS Smoke Aeroskin (does anyone have a picture of this installed?)
4. AVS Smoke Bugflector II (High Profile)
5. AVS Smoke Hoodflector (Low Profile)

Here's what the truck looks like:

Has anybody had any bad experiences with any of the options (especially noise at interstate speeds)? Anyone have experience with the Aeroskin? Anyone have pics of smoke deflectors on a Smokestone, silver, or tan truck?

ive heard the AVS stuff is top notch, its not supposed to rub your paint or anything. theyre not to bad on price either. im sure if you bought the dealer stuff it would be an arm and a leg. and i like the smoke look alot better than chrome as well.

I bought the AVS one .Don't know what model but goes on just like the factory shields. the Ford ones are over priced AVS or some other brand. mine does not touch the hood.Picked it up at Advanced Auto for like $40.Name: july5.jpg

I've got the AVS also. Haven't really noticed any extra noise or problems. Don't know how much good it is doing either, I just like how they look.
