Holes in floorboard

I have some holes in my floorboard, between the front middle seat and my dash with the radio. What is this suppose to be for?

probably for the floor shifter. The trucks have the same body has bolt up holes for all the other options your truck doesn't have

I would guess that your truck originally had the XLT center console and that someone swapped in a center seat.
