Default Hitch Help URGENT!

Hey so new to the truck world. Bough a 05 Lariat supercrew over the summer and i need to have a trailer hitch installed. My two issues are simple. I only need the hitch right now to tie down a motorcycle ramp to load the bed. But in the future i might get a motorcycle trailer. So my main issue is do I need the 7 pin attachment like what comes standard on the tow package? I currently have no hitch and just the standard 4 pin connector.

The model in mind is the Draw Tite 41549.

Thanks!

The standard 4 pin will work.

The four pin will work to light up a motorcycle trailer/uhaul trailer?

You'll only need the 7 pin if you plan to run a trailer with electric trailer brakes, in which case you'll need to buy a trailer brake controller as well.

The OEM setup gives you both the 4 and the 7 connector plugs.
