Default High Mileage!!

Hey guys i was just wondering since im getting up there on mileage, 181,000 Miles on my 06 5.4 L.. If i should switch to a full synthetic oil, or can i still run what i normally put in there which is Ford Motorcraft 5w-20 synthetic blend. I also run a Ford Motorcraft filter. Motor is in excellent shape. No leaks, no ticking, no nothing. Runs just as good as day 1... I just wanted to know what your thoughts were Thanks Travis

stick with what you have been doing man. i wouldn't change your oil brand, especially if thats what has worked good for your engine all this time. I personally run 5w30 amsoil full synthetic(supposedly) the best oil on the market with a motorcraft oil filter. my truck has 57k miles with zero ticking from the engine.

Sigh... I thought you were talking about high gas mileage... I'm disappointed. I thought you would have some magical gas mileage potion that fixes everything... haha

I'd say stick to what you got. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Your engine is strong and loving that semi-synthetic. I'd just keep rolling with it.

I would just keep on with the cheap non-synthetic stuff. That's what I did and 290,000 miles so far so good.
