Just wondering but why would you need to do this?

To warm the car up in the morning, if you get out of the truck often not to have start it each time, etc.

Obviously the truck could get stolen, so its risky. I hope ford puts keyless go in the 2015's.

Yes I could understand if it was in your driveway or something but not a good idea when going into a store or something like that.

Not all cities or towns are full of thieving sh*ts. But saying that I still wouldn't leave my truck turned on in front of my driveway here.

There was a guy around here that stole a idling van in front of someones driveway during winter. When he realized that there was a baby inside it he ditched the car with the heat fully on a couple km's from the house.

You can lock the truck with it running, you just have to use the keypad to do it. Just hit the last 2 numbers simultaneously after you close the door.

I do that all the time, actually that's the only way I lock my truck. leave the keys in the center console and lock the doors.

Don't let your insurance company find out.

Same here. I don't even bother taking the key out of the ignition though. That's what they pad is for in my opinion.

If you have the front bench seat, there is a hidden compartment under the "20" center seat. Flip up the center arm rest and then give a good yank on the front of the seat bottom. It's held in place with two clips. They will disengage to reveal a natural void (the whole seat bottom will come off) that can hold quite a bit of stuff. You can put your draw bar and hitch ball in there.
