Default Hi, newb here

Hi all.

I’m helping my brother in law out with un****ing his 2004 F150 4x4 Crew Cab.

Here’s a list of things so far:

1 Exhaust issues. Driver side ypipe/flange was loose at the manifold. One of the nuts was stripped.

2. Straight piped.

3. ****ty band clamp that was leaking.

4. o2 codes galore

5. Goes into limp mode

6. Cats are hollow

I picked up a ypipe from a 2009 F150 4x4 CrewCab and hope that it’ll fit. I’m not worried about the rest of the exhaust.

I’m hoping once the exhaust is fixed that it cleans up the codes.

Pics of the carnage.

So...you're planning on a new exhaust from the manifolds back? With all the leaks and hollow cats you're describing it's no wonder there are codes.

Yep. From the manifolds back considering what I found.

And for the record, he bought it this way.

Seems just like a new exhaust is all you need, if that's your major problems it's all good. Lucky it doesn't need phasors or have timing issues.......
