Sounds a bit high. Is this your first F150 you've spotted?
Grab (or use the internet) a copy of your local auto/truck trader to compare prices.
A dealer is always going to be on the high side of a car/truck's value from the blue book value. Cash always talks. Is it possible for you to arrange financing on your own? This way you can offer cash, which can lower the cost of the truck.

Well I am a newbie too but I think the price depends on where you live. I live in Minnesota and that truck would be priced at the dealer somewhere around 23k-26k. I just picked up a 07 xlt scab 5.4 with 42k for that same price. Good luck either way you go.

It really does depend on where you live. I bought an 06 xlt scab with about the same miles, but with the 5.4. I paid 13k. In my area most trucks with those stats went for 17-18k, but some people still thought I paid too much. You can probably talk him down some, but just shop around a bit for similar trucks at different dealers and see what the average is.
