I have a 2005 ford 150 crewcab. When I put the truck in reverse is jerks as I am going backwards. Almost like stuttering. Any body had this problem?

 

sounds like a tranny problem to me...does it drive and shift fine in "D" ?

 

Yes it drive and shifts just fine going foward. I thought maybe a sensor somewhere may going out.

 

I've had this happen a few times on my 06' Screw when reversing up hill with the wheel slightly turned. I was told it's most likely the teeth on the ring/pinion binding up just from how teeth wear over time/use and less than 1% of that was done in reverse.
