Default Here is a Towing Question...

My Truck. 2006 F-150 5.4v8 4x4 Supercab with 3.55 limited slip rear end. Sticker says 7200 GVWR.

The trailer I want has a GVWR of 7700lbs. That is right at the most my truck is rated to pull. However, the combined GCWR of truck and trailer is 14,900. That is over what the truck is rated for.

What do you guys think? I doubt Ill ever have the 1600 lbs of weight in the truck to max that GVWR. Dry weight for the trailer is 5780, which I doubt Ill go any higher on either.

Whats your opinion? Pull it or look for something smaller?

Matt
