New here and hoping for some help. I have a 2004 F150 4x4 4.6.
I installed a rear u joint Saturday and today it blew apart. I thought it was pretty cut and dry, but apparently I didn't do it correctly.

How did you remove/install? Also where did you buy your u-joint?

 

I wonder if a bearing cap wasn't installed correctly/seated.




Honestly, with that amount of information, there isn't much anyone here can do for you. Ensure you bought the right replacement, watch a few youtube videos, and go from there.


Did you have staked U joints? I have a 2004 and I just had to replace the whole driveshaft as opposed to dealing with the staked joints.
