how many miles? Usually between 40-50mph is when the torque converter usually locks up. you could be feeling TCC shudder or it could be an engine misfire

Got 154k on the clock. The tranny fluid changes are done every 40k since new.
If plugs are good, COP’s would make it buck at any speed and throw a code right?

yes and no...if one is completely crap it should show it at any speed and throw a light BUT if one is just getting weak it will only show up if the engine is under a load. Do you have a scan tool that can pull up misfire counters?

Try new boots first. Often the coils are ok. Boot set usually runs about $40 so its a good start. I did new boots with plugs and i had only gotten a CEL while passing then it would go away. Shuttering was going on for a few months before i got a CEL, usually at 1400- 2000 rpms.

^^^This^^^. New boots and springs with proper use of dielectric grease.

Default Classic misfires shows up under load especially at low rpm= higher gears

Common on a hill .Ford doesn't set a cel until it reaches a high threshold . You need to look at mode six on code reader it gives raw counts per cyl and the threshold limit . If you have android phone /$5 dollar torque pro app/ cheap Amazon bluetooth reader then look under test results . Ideally you don't want any counts.
But the fix is usually change all those boots ,clean all contacts on cops, new boots keep 30,000 volts from jumping thru pin hole to head . . Look for any connectors not locking on .Cop bolts should hold down cop . Do you have the new sp546 plugs ,cleaning out cyl tip area of plug to get carbon out off there highly recommended ,that carbon breaks plugs going in and out . Torque all plugs 25 to 28 foot pounds not by feel ,loose plugs will slap burn up itself and boot just like a blow torch . . Carb cleaner will melt carbon . Use small dielectric grease on boots ends only it is not a conductive gel it is an insulator keep it mostly off metal elect parts . Clean your porcelain on plugs ,keep your fingers clean to stop contamination.
Try all this before throwing new coils at it ,oem coils rarely go bad ,they do corrode up . I don't think much of aftermarket cheap coils . All this could ruin your Sunday .
