Default Help with Tire Size

I have a 2008 F150 Lariat 4x4 screw with factory 20" rims and Pirelli Scorpions 275/55/20 . A friend wants to give me a set of 265/50/20 tires that are practically new . Can I put these on my rims ? If yes, would there be any downside to running this size tire on my truck . Thanks for any input .

the 265/50r20 will cause your speedometer to be off by 4.8% it will read you are going faster than you are
not realy i big diffrence though the new size is 1.5" shorter than oem

Thanks for the help . I guess the good news is it should help me from getting speeding tickets ! The price on the tires is right , so I was hoping to be able to use them .
