HELP! Please read!!!!
Everyone,
I went to start my truck tonight. I turned the key, AC, Radio, etc came on (battery is FINE!), but when I turned it all the way, it made absolutely zero noise, other than a faint clicking on the passenger side area. When I lifted the hood, the faint click was heard still around the engine.
Again, the battery is FINE!
Since there was absolutely no noise, no effort made by the starter, I need a new one, correct?

you may just need to clean some connections...I would start with the hot wire from the Batt to the starter and then your ground from the batt to the frame. How did your AC come on when the truck would not start ??
By A/C, you mean the fan blew? It definitely sounds like a connection problem. If you have enough power for everything else, your starter isn't getting enough juice (thus the clicking). Get a wire brush and start cleaning every connection in the starter loop.
How do you know the battery is fine? Because the lights come on dosent necessarily mean its a good battery. Just this week had the same thing happen on wife's Mustang. Lights worked, battery even showed 14 volts when checked with a multimeter. However, must have been a dead cell or something inside the battery that wouldnt let the current (amperage) flow. New battery and problem solved. I'd start with the simple things, try boosting it and look at battery connections. Let us know what you find.
Late update, but here is hat happened.
I had my battery tested, and it was bad, so I replaced it. My truck still did not start, so I had my starter replaced because my flywheel ate away at it. My truck did not start following that, so the mechanic was going to do a diagnostics test. He then noticed the self installed anti theft system the previous owner put in, pushed the button on it to turn it on, and my truck started.
I will never know what my original problem was, but he said after disconnecting the battery, the anti theft system shut off and believes it wouldnt allow the truck to start when it was off
