Default Help Please!!!

Hello y’all.
I currently have a 2007 f150 4.6 V8.
it currently has no cats and has a magnaflow muffler on it and sounds horrendous. I want the growl but without the loudness.
what would y’all recommend ? I like how it sounds at FOT but when I’m barely stepping on the gas it sounds like a giant is passing gas.
I want a aggressive sound but not too loud where I’ll wake up the neighbors.
please and thanks.

For the sake of everyone else around you and for the sound attenuation I would re-install the cats. That will help tame the sound a lot.

Re-install cats (modern cats do not affect airflow, engineers are smart) and go with a Flowmaster 40 or 50 (50 is a bit deeper)

Friends don't friends run Dronemaster's. IMO they are the next worse muffler to glass packs.

Magnaflow or Borla is the only way to go.

Flowmaster worked just fine for me for all the years I had my 05. I'll probably get another one on my 18.

The feds say they are stepping up compliance for emissions . They have been shutting down tuner manufactures . The new rule is if it can be used on the road then its illegal -no more just for racing excuses . .
Look for stings on muffler shops removing cats with big fines . Besides you must have had to rig a place for o2 sensors which are critical to good performance . I would put cats back on . China has a huge smog problem -it can't keep ignoring it . Look for Europe to go full on with battery cars soon . Its easier since its smaller than us .
