I'm tryin to sell my rear two main cats and need to know how much they are worth. Guy offered me 40 each yet I see them online for 1200 a piece new...so what are they worth to sell? They have 65k miles if that means much. Thanks guys I need to know by this afternoon

 

seems like they wold be worth a little more then that al least, is this guy going to use them or is he just going to turn around and recycle them? i read about a lot of people were starting to steal them because they can get a nice maount of money from recycleing them because of all the precious metals in them. as far as the value of them i cant help you, sorry.

 

I'd keep them, seeing as how it's against Federal law to remove them. Should you ever sell the truck, you'd want to re-install them or risk getting fined.

Plus, any police offer having a bad day could make life a bit bad for you. About a 5 grand fine.

 

same problem here man! I removed the rear two and now just have them laying around. My muffler shop would would to two exhaust tips from the muffler to the back, hopefully you get what im saying, in exchange for the two rear cats, thats about an 80 dollar job here. took it to another place and they offered me 40 for both! Needless to say i still have them. I posted them on Ebay and the highest bid i got was 55 for both. i still have them, figure even if i got 100 bucks now is not worth it later on. just rather keep them then have to buy them later on at a ridiculous price

 

I'm not worried about it legally at all...no emissions and all the cops around here love the sound so I'm not worried about it but thanks for your concern
