Default Help Me Identify This Part

I was doing some work today on the rear of my truck and I noticed a part mounted to the frame behind the rear leaf shackle and before the bumper on the left side only. The part has a cylinder that appears sprung under tension with an integrated bushing of sorts. I have been through numerous manuals and web searches but I can not find out what this part is, but it looks quite worn and I would like to replace. I have a 2005 4x4 Lariat if that matters. Its next to impossible to get a clean pic of it due to my dual exhaust.

Is it a black rubber cylinder about 3" tall?

I bet it's a vibration damper to keep the bed from shaking at certain speeds.

This thread has a good pic of it: http://www.f150online.com/forums/200...vibration.html
