Default Help!!! I'm looking for a specific part (probably never asked for before!)

I was driving to the gym yesterday and a big rock hit my windshield and put a spider crack about the size of a quarter right in my line of sight! I had a company come out and replace it, but when they used the tool to under cut the sealant, they broke the pieces that the push pins the hold down the corner of the cowl go into. The cowl itself is fine, and they said they fix it for me Monday, but I can't seem to find the part that I'm looking for anywhere. It attaches to the body just under the windshield, then the push pin that holds the corners of the cowl goes into it. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Its not the plastic push pin...it the part that attaches under the windshield, under the plastic cowl. It what the push pin goes into.

Thanks for any help!!!

Your best bet would be to go to a junk yard and find one yourself.

I would hope its something Ford Parts would have! The guy that pu the windshield in broke both of them. I have to call them tomorrow and they said they'd take care of it! And they will....or else!

Those parts will be dealer only, unless you can find them at a wrecking yard. I have the same problem.

Why are you doing the footwork? The windshield company broke it, they agreed to fix it; let them! Have them go to the Ford dealership and obtain the parts. You have the right to be "whole" again. Be polite, give them the chance to fix it. If they don't make you happy, then take action.

Gotta give them a chance though; these things do happen, and it sounds like they are a good company in admiting to their fault and wanting to repair it for you.
