Default Help with ignition key cylinder problem

I have an 08 f-150, was trying to disarm the key ignition chime by taking out the cylinder and looking for a contact point, did not find one. I put the cylinder back in with the key in on position like i have read. Now it just clicks around the fuse panel when i try to start it. I've taken it apart and looked for loose connections and found none. Everything else seems to be working it just wont start (turn over). I would still like to disarm the key chime if somone knows how to do it.

All that is done by the Computer Module...not the key switch...you can reprogram it to shut off...I don't know the sequence though..

Wonder if you messed up the anti-theft system by pulling & replacing the cyl?

That's my thinking. May require a tow to the dealership to have it reconize the key again.

Do you have a second (or third) key to try?

I found the problem, it was fuse #23 a 5 amp fuse. I think it was #23. It was below the air bag fuse. Still have the chime to listen to. If anyone knows how to disarm it please let me know.
