Default Help with cutting out and shaking when cold

I know this shouldnt be posted here but oh we'll I don't have a forum account on a Chevy site. I have a 1992 Chevy s10 blazer. I bought it a couple weeks ago. Well here we go, when I get up in the morning when it's cold, and start it up it shakes at idle and within 5 minutes of driving on the freeway, it cuts in and out and loses a majority of it's power, it'll throw a service engine light and then go back to normal when it's warm. And it's only done this two times since I've owned it. It starts and runs find every other time I've driven it but just those two times it's messed up...any help on what it could be?

Hmm you ought to go get the code read at AutoZone or Oreilly's. it's free! Then we will be able to narrow it down.

And don't worry just cuz it's a Chevy most people on here will still help you out! These guys helped me narrow down the rough idle on my Trans Am to a leaking vacuum line.
