Help with changing out the electric motor on transfer case
2004 5.4 XLT 165000 miles
After reading lots of threads, I decided that my electric motor on the transfer case is bad. Again taking the advice here, I ordered one from Tasca, and I'm going to swap it out this weekend. (local dealer $330 - Tasca $160)
I have a detailed question. There are two "extra" wires that seem to come from somewhere else and are in the existing wiring harness for the existing motor. I've seen mention of those in the threads - something about removing them with a pick and putting them in the new harness.
Can someone give me details on how I do that? I'm sure it's easy - I just don't want to screw it up. Thanks
