Default Help! Bad luck.

I followed another post about the steps to reset the gas peddle with the key on and it worked... too good. After a much better throttle, my grille insert decided to fly off and leave a foot long gouge/scratch in my windshield. You can actually feel it. Is there any products or polishes that will make it less noticeable? Any info or condolences would be appreciated. Lol

There is glass polishing compound available, which you must use a RO polisher with (Porter Cable 7424XP). However, if it is at the point where you can feel it then you have to replace the windshield.

I don't know how to link another thread, but its titled "throttle response fixes 5.4" on an electronic throttle like ours it can be recalibrated. Put your key in
Turn to on position- dont start
Press peddle down very slowly all the way
Let of quickly
Turn key off
Repeat two more times
Disconnect battery
Reconnect battery
Drive for a few miles so computer can relearn
It basically resets 0-100% throttle position

A throttle body cleaning and air filter helps even more, also MAF too
