Has anyone here ever had this happen to their truck. 2007 5.4 no mods 80,000 well maintained truck. I had a valve spring break while driving and it caused all kind of problems, truck in shop now.

 

Unfortunately, crazy stuff like that happens. Your the first i heard of with that one though, i hope the damage is minimal, i had a timing belt break on my wife's escape, the valves dropped and trashed the engine, happy i was not. But the 5.4 is a little different hopefully yiu can get away with a simple fix
