I am running a 2 1/2" HBS. I fit 295/70/18s on with no rubbing. Almost 35 inches. I think they are 34.4". Trimmed the black valance on the bottom of front bumper. Love it. But if I had it to do over again, I think I would go with a smaller diameter. Just for suspension travel and such. But when the truck is sitting there, it looks Freaking Good!

Honestly, there has been no one that can prove this "STRESS ISSUE"

I believe at some point someone said it will do this, and it has since become an urban legend of sorts. If it did cause early failure, companies like autosprings, hbs, daystar, pro comp, etc would have a hard time selling these parts.

There have been stories, such as this one,on forums for years. LIke the one on f-body forums that say the rearend in a z28/TA cant handle much more than stock power. Much less than drag radials or slicks. Yet I have had numerous friends lay down over 450hp on a dyno, then throw on the drag radials at the strip and never break one.

Or the mustangs 8.8 not handling slicks and 500hp.

I say dont be scared and do it.
Put the urban legend to rest.
