Default height difference 4x4 vs. 4x2

Hello everyone. I have read every thread I could find about leveling kits and tire sizes and finally made a decision. There is still a few questions I have and could not find. What is the difference in height between a stock 4x4 and 4x2? Second question is what is different that makes the 4x4 taller to begin with? Third is the rear suspension any taller? Any info would be helpful thanks.

IIRC the 4x4 is approx 2 inches taller, you get that from the addition of the 4x4 equip and items. You obviously want a taller stance on something that needs the 4wd. Not positive about the rear but I can't imagine they are the same height, probably diffrent springs at least.

it's about 2in.s. 4x4's have a 2in. block in the rear and taller struts, among other things to make them about 2in.s taller in the front

The knuckles on 4wd are significantly taller than the 2wd. This along w/ the longer strut length add the 2" in the front. As stated a block and different springs are in the rear.
