Hey all, quick question. Haven't found a clear answer on any threads I searched. Got a little curious yesterday so I looked into my tow package. I have a 2004 Screw, and it has a 7-pin and 4-pin blade connector below the rear bumper next to the OEM class IV receiver. I also have the plug for a trailer brake controller under the dash, (though I'm sure they all do), an auxiliary tranny fluid radiator, auxiliary power steering radiator, but only 6 lugs. My question is, is this indicative of max tow, or just a regular thing?

What was your question about this? Are you just checking if other trucks are commonly equipped like yours? Or are you seeking info on the max tow package?

Sorry about that, I edited my original post because I hit send too early by accident. My question is if I have a regular option package or a heavy tow pkg of some kind.

Regular. Max tow has 7 lug rims.

Plug your vin in and see every single option your truck has or doesn't have.

Is there a difference between Max Towing and Heavy Duty Tow package? According to the link Jcode provided, mine has the HD package, but I certainly do not have 7 lugs rims.

Op did you try the Ford etis link? My 07 was on Ford etis, and I think our 06 super duty is on there, but I don't know beyond that. It is a good site for sure

Max tow has the seven lugs. My 07 has it. It would also have the 8200# rating on the doorjamb

I have an 04 with a tow package and it has the connector you're referring to, the tranny cooler, limited slip and I think but am not certain that the gearing was like a 396. I believe max tow rating is 9500 for a super can. I have 6 lugs. I don't recall there being a heavier tow option for the 04 supercab

Dang, I had no idea 7 lugs were still around at that time. I worked at a Ford dealership for 18 years and seen a few of them, but I left in 05.
