08 F150 heater blower motor switch only blows on speed setting 3 and 4. 1 and 2 are completely non responsive. Anyone else had this problem or have heard about this problem? I thought maybe it could be a fuse or something but not sure. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

 

Best guess is it's the resistor for the fan. Had the same problem. Easy fix.

 

Sounds like the blower motor resisto to me as well. Easy 10 min fix.

Common issue but is often a sign that there is an issue with the fan motor itself. It is a cheap fix so go ahead and just do the resistor but if it goes again, change the fan motor.

 

its the ac resistor had the same problem with mine $20 and 10 minutes you should be good to go.

Mine just blew for the second time. I picked up an eBay special the first time, and it lasted a year. Now I bought one with a limited lifetime warranty. I'll keep changing it out, instead of putting a new blower in.

 

only a matter of time before you start blowing fuses

 

Generally the resistor going is the result of the blower motor on the failing end f its life and causing incorrect draws. The weak link is the resistor so it fails.

I don't think the motor is very expensive or difficult to change.
