Heated mirrors - how to tell?
I busted up one of my sideview mirrors backing a trailer in the woods. I want to replace it.
How can I tell if it's a heated version? It has a turn signal light, but no puddle lamp. I have a 2008 Lariat SuperCrew.
Here's a pic:
Thanks in advance!

Heated mirrors usually have a "stamp" on the glass that shows a picture of a mirror with steam rising off it. You can also take the Ford part number off the busted mirror housing to the stealership's parts department and they can decipher the PN to tell you what features the original mirror has.

BTW, not sure what happened to my pics - they don't appear in my posts anymore! Kinda makes the posts non-sensical.

Wow, so finding mirrors that are adjusted electronically, have signal LEDs, but not heat or puddle lamps has proven to be difficult. Most of the mirrors I've found online have heat and puddle lights - which I'd love to have, but I doubt my truck is wired for it.

Just buy the replacement glass, it can be found on Rock Auto, its about $15. I had to replace mine when someone swiped my mirror with their vehicle. Easier than replacing the entire housing.
Just realized your housing is broken. Might as well upgrade to towing mirrors and get a beefy look.

there's usually a bacon looking stamp on the glass
Also, if your truck came with heated mirrors, you'll have a button to turn them on
