Heat is not getting cold
I have an 05 Ford F150: I changed the thermostat, flushed the system: Radiator, Engine, Heater Core lines, reserve fill. A lot of black nastiness came out. Now the interior temp gauge is not getting to "normal half way" operating point, heat is blowing luke warm at best, the upper radiator hose is hot, the lower radiator hose is cold. I can actually touch the radiator on the driver's side, the passenger side is warm but not hot. Any suggestions??? Please help!!!
Flushing is 100x better than draining, especially with the description you gave.
Get a new thermostat, preferably from a ford parts dealer.
Haynes manual.

ya, check the thermostat you got and make sure it is the correct one. if it was working fine before you did it, thats more than likely tthe issue.
anyone else notice the thread title "heat is not getting cold"? and giggle a bit?

What t-stat did you use? Brand? Part#?
ETA: I always get the correct part # off the companies website before I go to an auto parts store. I put a Stant 180* t-stat in my truck a few weeks ago. I got the correct part number off their website. If I didn't, I would have installed the wrong part. The idiots ordered the wrong one.
