Whenever I bought my truck it didn't come with an owners manual for whatever reason. I hate the headrests on the seat they are angled way to far forward for me and sit way too high. I have noticed w/ cars/trucks you can usually slide the rests all the way up and take them out. I tried the other day and couldn't get them out. Are they fixed in or is there some trick I'm not catching. . . .

 

What year? My '08 has a release tab on the one post to remove the headrest.

 

its an '06 it's got a tab to slide it up and down, but when it gets to the top it seems to be locked in. is there another release i'm just too dumb to see? - thanks!

 

disregard that, i'm a big idiot. The button on the right side was jammed some how. I guess it would have helped to look at the passenger side rest. Just a little force and it popped right off.
