Default Headlight switch issues

2007 F150 Supercrew Lariat 4x4 5.4 triton. Last fall I installed led fog lights which never worked and upon reinstalling stock fog lights only passenger side worked so I switched them side to side to confirm if fog light or truck issue. Both fog lights worked but only on passenger side but both sides worked prior to installation of the led fog lights. Now neither side works but I haven't investigated any further until recently when I turn headlights on and pull out **** for fog lights the bright headlights come on. I replaced headlight switch thinking that would be most practical culprit. Not only did new switch not correct that issue but now whenever I turn parking lights or headlights on the dash lights go out and when I pull out fog light **** a click sound comes from the general direction of the fuse box. I will reinstall the original headlight switch so at least the dash lights will remain on. Haven't been able to investigate any further yet. TIA for any assistance.

did you just recently buy your truck ? check for bambi mod. check all relays and fuses. look at the grounds for a nice clean connection especially the grounds by the fuse box in the kick panel passenger side. if you own a multi meter you can unplug the fog bucket that is not working and read power 12vdc at the plug to verify a good bucket.

I bought the truck last July 2024. I tried searching for info prior to posting this thread without any luck then searched again after posting and was very successful in finding lots of info including the bambi mod that I do plan to do once weather permits. I have confirmed all the items you mentioned are good and I sincerely appreciate your assistance.

not yet as weather hasn't permitted and I don't wish to lie on a cold ground. But the other issues you suggested concerning the fuse box I can confirm as I've been inside fuse box several times over the past few months. The bambi mod I plan to do but also when weather permits as we've had snow, rain, and freezing temps lately.
