headlight painting?
Does anyone in the SoCal area know where i can get my inner housing of my headlights painted. I tried taking them apart and it was no good. spent atleast 5 hours trying to take one headlight apart and now its all chewed up and i give up. i rather have someone do it.
Does anybody know any shops or persons that will do it?

Which method did you try? Oven or heat gun?

I'm going to give it another shot today since last night I finally got a corner to seperate from each other
The oven trick works, but I've had to do it 3 times; put one in for 10 minutes, use a flat blade and start at one corner, working around to the center. When the sealent hardens, put it back in the oven for about 8 minutes, and repeat from where you left off. After about 3 cycles, you should be able to remove the lense. I've done three successful sets this way. Be paitent.
Your problem now is that the plastic "bucket" is all chewed up, meaning the lense may not fit into the bucket and seal well when you re-assemble.

The OEM lights are a bish, they use excellent adhesive. When I did my retrofit I used some lights off of Ebay...after being in the over for 6 minutes I had the entire lens removed in under 30 seconds. Much cheaper glue and super easy to get the lens off. I resealed with Butyl.
bump. NVM finally took apart the first one. OMG IT WAS A PITA. Maybe only 10% of the light(well the black part looks a little chewed up.) So far im good. another thing i got my MAG HYTEC Cover today =). will also be installing that sometime soon.

UPDATE.
Finally done. they are tied down and drying over night. hopefully the sealant does well and doesnt let condensation in and fog up my lights. Will update with pictures tomorrow around noon.

If you have first hand experience with re-sealing the aftermarket ones with good success, then that will give others the knowledge that they can buy them, re-seal them, and get good use from them.
